Some may say finding your dream job is the light at the end of the tunnel and that everything is gravy after that.
I beg to differ.
Crawling up whatever barb wire ladder you are on, and getting to that desired position (whatever it may be), is not (well….. very rarely) as great as it appears.
Ok, maybe this makes me sound like a pessimist - but really I’m usually quite an optimist.
I think I am more of a realist, and understand that the job you dreamed of is very rarely actually what you thought it was. I’ve come to realise of late that life and family are more important than sacrificing everything for work, and won’t put myself in a position where those stresses can affect my home life (again).
Work to live… Don’t live to work.
